Quick start

1. Choose one or more starter briefings.
2. Open a briefing and press Play this briefing.
3. Choose a different reader under Voice if you like.
4. Install PressPlayed on your phone so it opens like an app.
5. Lock the screen. The current article keeps playing and lock-screen controls let you skip articles.

Build a briefing

Starters creates ready-made briefings. Discover lets you find a publisher or track a subject such as “Housing Market” or “Fed Interest Rates.” A collection combines selected publishers; a topic follows a subject across publishers automatically.

If an article will not play

Some publishers block automated retrieval, require a subscription, or publish only a short summary in their feed. PressPlayed does not bypass paywalls, sign-ins, or publisher access controls. Use the flag beside an article when the wrong text is read or playback fails unexpectedly.

If locked-screen playback stops

• Install the site as an app and begin playback before locking the phone.
• Check that the phone has not put the browser or PressPlayed into a restricted battery mode.
• Phone calls, Bluetooth devices, vehicle controls, and other audio applications can pause playback. Press play again after they finish.
• If it repeats, email support with the approximate time, phone model, and browser. PressPlayed records a limited playback trace specifically to diagnose this path.

Sign-in links are personal. Do not forward an invitation or share an account. To correct, export, or delete account information, email info@pressplayed.com from the account address.
